A Hat in Time reviewed by Leif Johnson on PC.

Disclosure: IGN Entertainment, IGN's parent company, recently purchased Humble Bundle, the publisher of A Hat in Time. This technically makes *us* the publisher. 2. i didnt play the game yet, but this game gives me some sort of nostalgic vibe. the same feeling that i felt when i play ps2 games…

is it because of the graphics or the renders? am i the only one who feels like this?

  3. A hat in time is the best platformer game that I have ever played hands down. It’s a shame that more popular games like Mario Odyssey and Cuphead. I got the game on the switch which does a bit worse than the PC version, but apart from a couple of lag spikes, the game is still absolutely amazing. There were no camera issues except when picking up the time piece after you finish Rush Hour in the Nyakuza Metro but that didn’t bother me at all to be honest. Overall, I find this game to be incredibly cute and amazing! It gets an 11/10 from me, but make sure that little children stay away from Vanessa’s Manor, they might get nightmares from her (or just take the speed run shortcut to also save them from having nightmares!)

  4. Why does no one talk about how bad the checkpoint system is?! Its straight up broken and punishing. Freeroam is by far the worst offender when it come to checkpoints, there's like one to get the time piece at the top of the Lava Cake but even if I get the checkpoint, dying sends me back to the zip line that leads to the passage that THEN leads me back to the bottom of lava cake to climb up AGAIN. It's honestly the only thing I can't stand about this game.
