Watch at: 00:00 / 00:00:20yo what is going on guys to direct hereand today I'm coming at you with a brandnew video in today's video we arelooking at void Basterds andspecifically sound and void Basterdsso I am going to be covering this game alittle bit it's a new roguelike gamethat came out and is extremely extremelyfun extremely addicting and sound playsa major part in it so by the time you'reWatch at: 00:20 / 00:40further than the game you've alreadyprobably mastered a lot of these soundsystems but stealth is very importantfor getting around is very tough enemiesand is a necessity if you want to saveammo and be efficient when raiding shipsthis means that you have to use sound toyour advantage it's almost impossible toget through the whole game especially ifyou're on a harder difficulty withoutWatch at: 00:40 / 01:00taking advantage of stealth mechanics inthis game so with the comic book styleof this game comes a visualrepresentation for most sound which isactually very useful you can tell whereenemies are it's almost like you don'teven need headphones to hear the soundas there are visible visiblerepresentations as you see on the screenWatch at: 01:00 / 01:20now you can see the tap tap that meansan enemy is through a door and eachenemy has a unique sound on the otherside of the door so as you saw there thedoor said step step-step and there was ajanitor on the other side others willsay tap some will say hover and I willcover enemy types later but just knowWatch at: 01:20 / 01:40that each enemy has a different type ofsound on the other side of the door andyou can see it fairly all I mean prettymuch see squelch squelch tap stuff likethat and it was one of those littleemploys on the other side besides thevisual effects that sound makes forenemies when you're not in the room whenyou're in the same room as an enemy theyWatch at: 01:40 / 02:00often make sounds that you can hearthrough your headset they talk you canhear their footsteps their footsteps areactually fairly loud so it's pretty easyto tell where they are in a room so nowof course there are a few miscellaneousitems around the ship besides enemiesand besides yourself that make noisethere's the grinder there's stuff likeWatch at: 02:00 / 02:20the air duct and there's stuff likealarms that will alert enemy'sexplosions will also alert enemies ifyou use any explosives to kill anythingwhether it's explosions from your ownweaponry or from explosive enemyso you just need to be careful when youneed to expect a fight when you hear anexplosion make sure you're monitoringyour doors for those visual effectsWatch at: 02:20 / 02:40because good chance if you created alarge explosion a lot of enemies will benearbyso just make sure that when you'reinteracting with the things on the shipas well as explosions just make surethat you don't make too much noise andif you do make too and if you do make alot of noise just make sure be aware ofWatch at: 02:40 / 03:00your surroundings be aware that therecould be enemies that got attracted byyour noisenow besides interactable is the mostimportant thing that makes noise on thisship is yourself so you can Crouch walkand sprint in this game crashing createsthe least noise walking creates a littlemore noise and then sprinting is veryloud and you can tell when you'reWatch at: 03:00 / 03:20sprinting and creating loud noises asyou will see white lines at the endanother visual indicator these samewhite lines are the white lines you seeat the air duct or at the grinder whenyou use them these just indicate thatyou were making a lot of noise andenemies will hear you they'll probablybe coming for you if you're in closeproximity to them I recommend usingWatch at: 03:20 / 03:40stealth mechanics to get around enemiesif all possible crouching is veryimportant as it does save a lot ofammunition and of course that harderdifficulties and when you get to deeperdepths ammunition is extremely importantto conserve especially for those morepowerful weapons so now if you'recrouching you can basically get right upWatch at: 03:40 / 04:00next to an enemy and they will not hearyou as long as you they can't visiblysee you of course visibility is the mostimportant thing if an enemy can see youof course they are going to detect youbut you can get pretty damn close toenemies and get some pretty good shotsin if you want to kill them so I wouldrecommend crouching behind them if theydon't see you so you can make sure toWatch at: 04:00 / 04:20get your crit spots and then and ofcourse save ammo and if at all someenemies you're gonna have to avoid likethe SEC bots you can't really kill it'sreally hard to kill the SEC BOTS andit's really hard to kill some of themore powerful enemies and so you getsome pretty damn good weaponry somepretty upgraded weaponry so it is goingto be very important to crouch aWatch at: 04:20 / 04:40majority of the time and of coursealways be aware always look at doors forthosewe'll cues and always be aware of whatyou're doing on the ship if you'remaking a lot of noise as you play moreyou'll understand which enemies makewhich sounds whether you're looking at adoor or you're in the room with theenemies so you know whether to engage orwhether to leave a more powerful enemyWatch at: 04:40 / 05:00alone overall I would recommend tryingto stealth if possible because you cansave health you can save ammo andultimately make your run more productivenow obviously killing can't totally beavoided but if it can I would recommenddoing so so a few final tips to rememberI would recommend crouching and tryingWatch at: 05:00 / 05:20to sneak around enemies like I just saidyou can get close to enemies if youcrouch and you can get a pretty nicekilling blow if you're close with a lotof the weapons such as the shotgun makesure when you're sprinting or using thegrinder or anything like that you'reaware of where enemies are because youdon't want to summon a powerful enemy ora sec bot or something like that rightWatch at: 05:20 / 05:40towards you because that will get youkilledso I hope you guys enjoyed this videoplease subscribe for more boid bastardsthis was just my first quick littlebeginner's guide on sound as sound isone of the most important aspects ofthis game I'll probably have a pistolweapon review coming out later and moreguides will be coming out in the nearWatch at: 05:40 / 06:00future I hope you guys enjoyed thisvideo it's been de jure X peace

  1. It’s important to note that some characters have some traits that make noises. An example of this is the smoker. The smoke occasionally coughs which can alert enemies. This is just a random event if trust characters can come with.

  2. A tip for you, well two….first don't waste ammo on tourists, you can easily run by them with enough time to get out of their blast area and make them kill themselves basically. Only time I ever fire on one is if they are clumped up in a group, setting off all of them to explode.
Second tip, SecBots arent as hard as you think, at least not on medium difficulty, zap them, then use a powerful weapon to eat up chunks of their health. BUT avoiding them altogether is more preferable, which brings me back to the zapper, if you hear the peeper going off, zap it so it buys you some time to get away, or you can zap it twice to destroy it.

  3. Make sure your doing this make sure your doing that make sure make sure for a fucking game that’s 5 GB of absolute trash because I always want to have a smoker as a starter character and best yet let’s just kill
The person playing the game in the first mission because that won’t piss anyone off no no no…..
